Greetings from Gayleen

November 2025

Congratulations to all the finalists in the Queensland Tourism Awards. There were many winners from the regions including the Crystal Caves in Atherton, Cape York Peninsula Lodge, Shute Harbour, St George and Quilpie’s Visitor Information Centres, the Cairns Convention Centre, Scenic Rims Eat Local, Paronella Park and the Gold Coast Aqua Park who won the Major Attraction Award to mention a few.

With Christmas just a few weeks away Precruitment is busy collecting all things food and gifts for our Salvation Army Family sponsorship. Every year since we started operations in 1998 our team have supported a family in need that is selected by the Salvation Army. If you would like to sponsor your own local family the Salvos would love to hear from you. You can also make a donation of food or gifts dropped in or sent to our Head Office at 152 Grafton Street Cairns or just email me. We can always make up additional hampers on the behalf of our clients and candidates. It has been a challenging year for many people in our community and across all our regions with weather and  flood events, the souring cost of living and the housing crisis; if we can make a little difference to a family at Christmas it is a good thing.

Precruitment welcomes Meagan Stow to our team in the role of Business Operations Coordinator. Meagan is a dedicated professional with broad experience in banking, finance, manufacturing and business management.  She has a proven track record supporting end-to-end operations, including payroll, accounts, marketing, and compliance, all delivered with accuracy and efficiency in fast-paced environments.

Working closely with our team, clients and candidates, Meagan plays an active role in maintaining smooth and efficient business operations. With great communications, she has a friendly and positive attitude that I know you will all enjoy working with.
