Greetings from Gayleen

July 2024

Precruitment is kicking off the new financial year with a new website and a new roof. The website I am excited about, I look forward to your feedback. Always little tweaks and improvements are anticipated, but it looks great thanks to Cam and the team, so much work with a rewarding result. Not so exciting, last wet season we had a few leaks in our roof in the Cairns office, as a result a new roof is on its way. Our building is circa 1970 so it has held up well and we are taking the opportunity to replace it before the next wet/cyclone season and give our solar panels a clean while we are there. Often the hidden investments are the most important for continued growth and success.

For the past few weeks Colin and I have been travelling throughout north and west Queensland visiting many regions areas throughout our wonderful state.   We have so far travelled down the coast to Ingham and then over to Charters Towers, Georgetown, Croydon and the Carpentaria shire. We headed south to Julia Creek, Cloncurry Mount isa, Boulia and Bedourie. We then tracked to Winton, Richmond, Hughenden, Barcaldine and Longreach where I am currently based for the day.

We have travelled many miles and met with some wonderful people from the outback who are always welcoming. The country is in great shape with lots of feed in the paddocks and many properties well stocked. The wildlife is abundant, with kangaroos, emus, bustards and flocks of beautiful birds including galahs, budgies, corellas, broglas and many of our magical eagles.

There has been lots of activity in the bush including the Big Red Bash in Birdsville the Boulia Camel Races, many country shows, rodeos, campdrafts and country races. There is so much to see and do at this time of year. It is pleasing to note the many tourists enjoying and supporting all the regions and the events or just enjoying being in the wonderful Queensland outback.

Our journey will continue in central and southwest Queensland over the coming weeks. Please enjoy the photos posted on our social media.

Thank you to all of our clients for your support of Precruitment and for the team who continue to provide excellent service and dedication to all our clients and candidates.
