Greetings from Gayleen

April 2025

As a result of expanding business requirements across Queensland including in the southeast of the state, we are excited to announce the opening of our Brisbane office, which is headed by Cameron, Alissa and most recently welcome Brock O’Brien to the team.

Brock is an experienced senior consultant with a track record for filling positions from entry-level to senior management. His expertise spans government and private sectors delivering tailored recruitment solutions that help to drive growth.

Brock’s strength lies in his ability to build strong relationships with clients and candidates, aligning skills with business goals and culture. With a commitment to integrity, professionalism, and efficiency, he is an excellent addition to our Brisbane capability.

April brings with it a number of public holidays, but it’s also a time of deep significance for many people. Anzac Day is widely regarded as the most important day on the Australian calendar—a day that stirs a strong sense of national pride and unity. It is a time to honour the service and sacrifice of our men and women in uniform, past and present, and to show them that what they do truly matters.

I hope you had a meaningful Anzac Day and took the opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made by our armed forces throughout history. For Colin, a veteran of two wars, this day holds personal significance as he remembers both the comrades he served with and those he fought against. Lest we forget.

Easter, meanwhile, is the most important event on the Christian calendar. For many in our community, it is a sacred time of reflection and renewal. For others, it’s a welcome break—a chance to relax, enjoy time with loved ones, or head away for a few days (with plenty of chocolate, of course).

Can you believe it’s been three years since the last election? Time really does fly.

Of course, elections always bring a bit of economic uncertainty, with major decisions often put on hold until the results are in. But once the dust settles, things tend to return to normal, moving forward under the direction of the newly elected government.

We’re looking forward to putting the election behind us and getting on with the important work of infrastructure investment and community spending, as promised by the major parties for our regions. Best of luck to all candidates, and thank you for your commitment to serving our communities. No matter your political stance, your voice in Canberra is vital.

Please remember the communities in Western Queensland who have been devastated by recent flood events. We can donate though many  charities including GIVIT and Rural Aid Most importantly, make your plans to visit these communities as they recover, they must be supported and remembered.
