Client Visit Trip 2023

By Colin Toll

Gayleen and I are in Longreach as I write this piece.  We have completed two weeks of our annual six week and 10,000 kilometer Client Visit Trip around Queensland.  We have been doing these trips for fifteen years and, as a consequence, we have got to know Queensland towns, regions and the people well. It is a wonderful State.  We have developed a great respect for the outback and the small communities and the people who in many ways are the backbone of our nation.  Gayleen has written in her contribution of some of the injustices that the Outback communities endure.

We are travelling in our motorhome.  We visit and have meetings in thirty Local Government Areas. Some might think that these trips are a holiday; such thoughts are wrong.  They are demanding but enjoyable days.

This month I have decided to mention a few of the interesting, unusual, and enjoyable common things we encounter during our travels.
